DISK CONTENTS 1. CATT.EXE, a graphical interface for accessing thermodynamic tables found in Appendix A of your text. 2. CATHN.EXE, a text-based, menu-driven program for accessing miscellaneous tables not covered above. 3. FORTRAN-callable objects used to access various thermodynamic tables from your own programs. (These are described in Appendix B.) GETTING STARTED CATH: Computer-Aided Thermodynamic Tables runs on a DOS-based personal computer with color monitor and EGA or VGA graphic adaptor. It requires a minimum of 512K of available RAM. Running from Floppy Disk To run the software from a floppy, move to the appropriate disk (A or B), and type CATH or CATT at the DOS prompt. Installing on Hard Disk To install the two programs to your hard disk, follow these steps. Step 1. Insert the floppy in the appropriate drive (A or B). Step 2. Enter the drive name, followed by a colon, at the DOS prompt. For example, to change from the C drive to the A drive, type the letter A and a colon, and press the [Enter] key. The DOS prompt will change from the C drive prompt to the A drive prompt. Step 3. Type INSTALL, and follow the instructions on the screen. Running from Hard Disk To run the software from a hard disk, move to the directory in which the software has been installed, and enter the program name you wish to run. For example, if the software is installed in the CATT directory on the current disk, enter C> CD \CATT [Enter] C> CATT [Enter] (for the graphical interface) C> CATHN [Enter] (for the menu-driven interface) FORTRAN-CALLABLE OBJECTS To use the supplied FORTRAN-callable objects in your own programs, you must first run OBJS.EXE. This is a self-extracting archive which will create the necessary objects and example programs.
